Little Reader...

Since my son was still in my womb, I would hear to pleasing music and the classical ones too and I also read books to him, and when he was born my husband and I did not invest to buy him plenty of toys, instead we would go the the bookstore with him and buy  board books. I took a picture of him with his books.

This is the very first book we bought for him, he was 3mos. old here

4 months old
4 months old

When he was between 5 months to 6 months old he would turn the pages of his books and got fascinated with the colors and pictures he would seen..

6 months old
We even brought him to the bookstore to donate books, my husband and I used to do this ever since and now that we have our son we're doing it together with him.. :)

He loves to open his books than to play with his toys and I spend lot of times reading  books to him while pointing each words as I pronounce it loud and clear. I also read it in a way I could catch his attention by making funny face and loud voice so he would be more interested. There come a time when I noticed him turning the pages of one of his favorite book and I would hear his little voice such as "koo,koo,koo"... it's like as if he can read the words already...it's so cute!

At 9 months old he can identify some pictures when I ask him to point it.

And now that he is 11 months old already and as I have seen his interest in books, which I think its natural to all babies to get fascinated in colorful books, I began to research about the possibility of teaching a baby to read until I found on a networking site about Glenn Doman methods. I also watched file videos of babies reading as early as few old and how they progressed as month goes by.

I even made this self-made flash card to start teaching my baby to read.

And a few days later I see his progress too he can read few words already such as cat, dog and birds..terrific! I would like to stress that I don't force him to read, if  wants to do something else I allow him to do it. I only need to catch his most attentive mood and when he is receptive that's the chance we do the lesson.

I am a Professional.... MOTHER.

Yay! it has been ages since I wrote in my blog and I really missed it. This has been a modern diary, and the only difference is that it's posted publicly and not the typical kind of diary that we used to hide under the bed after we write on it so no one could read it. And now here it is- what we called BLOG where we can express through writing anything under the sun!.

After several months of anticipation  for my little handsome to grow ,  look how is he growing now!... 11 months old already and staying handsome... oh! how I love to play with him, kiss, caress, cuddle, chase him as he crawls and help him not to hit the floor as he falls from keeping his balance in tact... whew! I love every single moment I spend with him. He can utter few words already like "mama", "papa" and "mum" means to eat when he's starving or he sees me eating, "duh" for dog and "ka" for cat.. amazing!
I feel a whole lot younger and more lively  when I spend time with my son and I already memorized more than ten nursery songs hee hee hee!... and ready to memorize more.

On a serious side, apart from being a mother/parent to my son means not only to pamper him, giving him foods, buying him clothes and formula milk, changing his nappies when it's soiled already. And being a mother does not end only in pacifying my son, taking him to a park, play with him, taking him to a Pediatrician when he's sick, making appointments to his Pediatric Dentist and making sure he is taking his daily vitamins... oh well, those mentioned above are really important though, in fact, without doing so everybody will judge you as a careless mother and will make him nutritionally and caring deprived. But there is more beyond that mother's task which every mother should do and that is to be his ever first... TEACHER... and to discover everything about him and his potentials even in his most delicate age as an infant and then becoming a toddler...

I discover that he loves to learn than to play  with his toys and that he loves to turn the pages of his books than watching TV even if turning the pages gets him cranky and frustrated sometimes but still books are what makes him fascinated and what makes his brain nurtured with primary learning. That's why we both love hanging together at the National Bookstore.. that building with the bright red color on their signage. :) ... He is learning fast and his brain is like sponge that absorbs knowledge quickly. I only have to catch his most attentive mood and when he looks receptive and ready that's when I start to teach him, not to force him, but to give the lesson where we both enjoy it best. Whew! being a Mother-that's what I am taking as a profession.

Prettier than Pink

Color "Pink" is in trend and I am not just in to it. I am loving it. Yay!

And since it's 12 midnight already and while waiting for hubby to come home, add up the boredom of being home alone, I grabbed the camera and happily took a picture of my pink treasures....

...have fun with me... yipee!!

Tadaaaan!! a very cute "Pink Bunny Bank"... I think she is lonely because of starvation.. hee hee hee! I always forget to feed her 5 to 10 peso coins everyday...slash sob.

You want it... then get it. A pair of Pink Hand Sanitizer and a strawberry like scent Body Spray... These were bought from "Bench" in a very affordable price. I love the  fruity smell of these pair, it creates a sense of  happiness in every spray (for the body spray) and the sanitizer smells really sweet, the scent stays on your hands a little longer after using it. It does not leave a sticky feeling, just enough to give your hands a clean and sweet scent... uhmmm love it!

Just received these cutie pink pouch and I soooo love it...It's a "kikay kit" that contains a 50ml hand sanitizer, fruity scent hand moisturiser, a "Sunset" colored lipstick and "Tropical" tinted lip balm.. good to have it this summer day... and it's.... PINK!

Who says that pregnancy prevents you from wearing good looking clothes because of your bumps?.. hell no!... Pregnancy I think is one the best times for a woman to show her unique style in fashion without compromising comfortability, quality and the budget of course. This very cute Maternity Cloth from "Mother Care" is so comfortable to wear.. I love the color, design and the quality though this is not a pure cotton kind of fabric but this is something that can absorb sweat when the heat strikes...(thanks raging hormones).

and oh!....

....don't forget the "Pink Shoes"...

... the "Pink Ballpens" to put inside the....

..."Pink Big Purse"... awesome!

Happiness is not hard to find.. it's everywhere....

have a happy Hot Pink Day!
